Introducing the KL Series Carvetops

The carve top version of the KL Series has been a long time coming.  Each guitar is handcrafted as a one-off as is with every K-Line Guitar using only the best woods.  The pickups are wound here in house to replicate the best of the real PAF pickups that we have been fortunate to get our hands on.  A few changes have been made to make sure that the guitar will perform for years to come.  We have decided to ditch the old ABR style bridge with a more sturdy Nashville style.  This eliminates much of the buzzes and rattles and will not begin to lean like the old guitars could. We did not intend to re-invent the wheel, just put a better tire on it.

Prices start at $3650 for a plain top.

Features/options:

• Solid mahogany construction, sorted to ensure maximum resonance while maintaining a weight that is generally in the low to mid 8lbs range.
• Eastern or Western hard maple available in 4A, 3A flame.  Plain top is also available.
• One piece neck construction.
• ’59 neck is .880″C, 60’s .800C, or the new .840″C K-Line Standard found on many of our guitars.
• Pickups can be wound in several outputs with A2/A3/A4/A5 magnets in zebra, reverse zebra, double black, or nickel covered.
• P90’s, Humbuckers, wrap tail bridges are all options.
• Most colors can be accommodated.  We do not put names on them so we are happy to consider pictures.
• Finishes can be NOS, Closet Classic, or light relic.
